Sales recruitment — We’re ex-sales ourselves


Unless you’ve been in sales yourself, it’s impossible to know how it really works. What’s really required. And obviously, without that understanding, there’s no way you’ll be able to recruit effectively for sales roles.

Our two directors, Nathan Reese and Edward Labbad are both ex-sales professionals. Between them, they have more than 22 years’ sales experience (in the telecommunications industry). They know, from first-hand experience, how much difference the right sales person can make. Likewise, they know how much damage the wrong sales person can cause.

More importantly, they know how to source the right sales person. They know that networking — not databases — is the key to successful human resourcing.

No doubt, you know this yourself too. Think of any network you’re a part of. Guaranteed, you know — categorically — who, within that network, is good, and who’s not so good. That knowledge comes from actually building relationships with people. And that’s exactly how we do business, at Superior Recruitment.

That’s how our Candidate Resourcing Centres were born — 3 of them across Australia. Nathan and Eddie thought long and hard about how to bring the business networking approach to recruitment, and the Candidate Resourcing Centres were the answer. These Centres are local to the regions they’re recruiting from, and set up specifically to call all our candidates once a month, or so. Just to have a chat. In other words, we don’t rely on dry — and generally stale — CVs and superficial database information, we do things the old-fashioned way.

So when you call us to say you need, say, a mid-weight sales rep, to be groomed for a regional leadership role, we probably know, right off the bat, who you should speak to. Because we spoke to her, a few days ago, ourselves.
